Why Shop Local Cheshire started
I started Shop Local Cheshire because I kept meeting brilliant, hard-working business owners who were doing everything right and still felt invisible. They didn't need another directory listing — they needed people who actually understood what it takes to build something from nothing, in your twenties, with no roadmap.
So I built the thing I wished existed: a community where independent businesses could be seen, supported, and genuinely championed by people who've been exactly where they are.

FOUNDER
Started the platform to support the independent businesses that make the place she grew up in so special. Now manages social media, supports and advertises members, organises events, and provides social media coaching for businesses.

ACCOUNTS & FINANCE SUPPORT
Supports Shop Local Cheshire with finance and accounts management. As a trainee accountant, James manages invoices and the financial side of the business, keeping everything running smoothly even in the busiest periods.

Works alongside Shop Local Cheshire providing awards and admin support through Pink Spaghetti Crewe & Nantwich — handling emails and helping organise the awards behind the scenes. If you've had an email from us, there's a good chance it was Rachel.
